Saucon Valley is the only club in the country that carries the distinction of having “60 holes in one” – one complex, that is. In addition to its three championship courses, there is a six-hole course available to juniors and novice golfers. The “Short Course” at Saucon is a par 23 that features three par four, one par five and two par three holes. Spring and summer golf leagues and competitions are conducted for juniors on the course. To qualify for play on the championship courses unaccompanied by an adult, a junior golfer must be age 13 and score better than 90 strokes in three trips around the Short Course. It's not an easy task, but the reward is well worth the wait. Saucon Valley is truly unique in the world of golf. The attention to detail in maintaining all aspects of the facility is obvious. One cannot help but notice the varied plantings and specimen trees throughout the Club’s 850 acres. They provide a beautiful backdrop and attest to the care taken in both the original design as well as the ongoing maintenance for benefit of future generations.
